Rev. Joseph Alexander

Rev. Joseph Alexander is a servant of Christ, pastor, educator, and musician whose life has been shaped by a lifelong commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Raised in the church from early childhood, he publicly accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of eight, beginning a journey marked by faithful service, spiritual growth, and unwavering devotion to God’s calling.

At the age of twelve, Rev. Alexander began serving as the pianist for his home church’s prayer chapel under the leadership of the late Pastor Odessa Tucker. Through this ministry, he developed a deep appreciation for the role of sacred music in worship and discovered a passion for leading God’s people into His presence through praise and worship.

During his teenage years, Rev. Alexander became a member of Grace Temple, where he studied under the leadership of the late Dr. Maryline Miles while faithfully serving as a church musician. It was there that he discerned the unmistakable call of God upon his life to preach the Gospel and shepherd His people.

Following his graduation from high school, Rev. Alexander returned to Grace Temple as a music instructor, investing in the spiritual and musical development of young people. Through teaching, mentoring, and delivering sermonettes, he cultivated a ministry centered on biblical instruction, discipleship, and the proclamation of God’s Word.

Committed to both academic and spiritual excellence, Rev. Alexander pursued higher education at Liberty University, studying toward a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2013, he was ordained and installed into the Gospel ministry, formally answering God’s call to pastoral leadership. His theological education continued at Newburgh Theological Seminary in 2016, where he further strengthened his understanding of Scripture, pastoral theology, and Christian leadership.

In 2020, Rev. Alexander married his beloved wife, Cheyenne Alexander. United in faith and purpose, they embraced the vision God entrusted to them by founding Brand New Life Church. Together, they have devoted themselves to building a Christ-centered ministry that proclaims the Gospel, restores hope, equips believers for service, and ministers compassionately to the surrounding community. Through their leadership, the church has become a place of worship, discipleship, outreach, and transformation, serving families through practical ministries while pointing lives to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Rev. Alexander’s ministry is characterized by sound biblical teaching, compassionate pastoral care, heartfelt worship, and a steadfast commitment to the Great Commission. His passion is to see lives transformed through the power of God’s Word, believers equipped for faithful service, and communities renewed by the hope found only in Jesus Christ. From a young pianist serving in a humble prayer chapel to a pastor leading a growing ministry, his life stands as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the enduring power of obedience to His divine call.
